Happy 8th Anniversary to The Paper Shelter

Good Morning fellow crafters and welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop and this is in celebration of their reaching their 8th Birthday on December 8th. It will be a two week Challenge and both Design Teams are taking part.

The Hop is our way of inviting you to join in with us and this one is a  "BIRTHDAY/ CELEBRATIONS" theme, which I know is extremely popular!!!! If you have landed here from Suzie’s blog then you're heading in the right direction - if not then you'll want to head on back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, as you'll not want to miss out on this one! Our Design Teams have worked very hard and are showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter Website and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

I’ve decided to go with the ‘Celebrations’ side of the challenge and seeing how Christmas is just around the corner I’ve chosen to make a Christmas card.

I’m using the very cute Santa’s Helper image and I’ve opted for the pre-coloured image as I’m a bit time poor at the moment. I’m sure many of you know how that feels so it’s great when you have the choice in the sets of line images to colour or a variety of pre-coloured images.

I printed my image onto Cryogen White cardstock and die cut using some Oval dies. I’ve layered onto a base card with co-ordinating coloured paper, added my sentiment and a snowflake embellishment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Santa’s Helper (The Paper Shelter), Merry Christmas To All (Stampin’ Up)
Card: Poppy Parade & Pear Pizzazz (Stampin’ Up), Cryogen White
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies & Punches: Ovals Collection Framelits (retired SU)
Accessories: Snowflake Trinkets (Stampin’ Up)

From here you will need to hop on over to Natalie’s blog. Don't forget to leave your comment for a chance of winning your choice of one of the fab digis available in store.

Hop! Hop! Hop!

Good luck and hope you're enjoying it so far.

‘Halloween’.

If you use a TPS image in your creation you will receive the full $30 to spend on their gorgeous designs, and if you haven’t used a TPS image then you will win 3 Digis of your choice from her site.

The image I’ve chosen for my card is ‘Halloween Selfie’ and I’m using the pre-coloured image + the background image.

My images have been printed onto X-Press It Blending Card and the main image has been fussy cut using my Silhouette Cameo. This has then been mounted to the card using Dimensionals. I’ve used a couple of co-ordinating layers of cardstock along with a black base card and finished off my creation with a ‘Happy Halloween’ sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Halloween Selfie (The Paper Shelter), And Many More (retired SU)
Card: Lost Lagoon (retired SU), Pumpkin Pie & Basic Black (SU), X-Press It Blending Card
Ink & Markers: Memento Tuxedo Black
Dies & Punches: Word Window (retired SU)
Accessories: Stampin’ Dimensionals

For my card today I’ve use ‘A Very Special Band’ to create a ‘Music’ themed card. I’ve printed out the pre-coloured image onto Cryogen White cardstock and then layered onto a die cut from Smoky Slate cardstock. My base card is also Smoky Slate which has been punched using a Martha Stewart Around the Page Punch. My paper coordinates with the image colours beautifully and is from the ‘Notable’ collection from My Mind’s Eye.

Supplies:
Stamps: A Very Special Band (The Paper Shelter), Sentiment (LOTV), Sheet Music (SU)
Card: Smoky Slate, Very Vanilla (SU), Cryogen White
